I've had loads of great sessions this month, but I haven't done many diary entrys. I thought this may be worth one as I was demoing a Naish Helix.

I picked up the 9 meter off Jonnie, who as usual kept me chatting for ages. He told me the kite would work in lightish winds.

I got to the beach, it was doing approx 12 knts ish. I could of rigged me 12 or 16 Raven and would of been rideing.

I pumped up the Helix and after a bit of a sketchy launch, I was on the water. The kite really did work in light wind. I was riding and flying upwind. Now for the but.....

The kite was working yes,but I tried a couple of jumps, small ones. There didn't seem to be a lot of lift really. I guess for it to be fun in the jumping sense I think you'd need to be well powered, just like any other kites really.

It seemed fine for wave riding, I think it'd work really welll with a surfboard.

It was rock solid and fast turning, bar preasure was more than I was used to ,as I ride on the stopper a lot on my Raven.

The build quality was good, as usual from Naish!

Welll will I buy some..........

I still don't know really, I've got a 6m boxer sle. I did'nt really like that at first, but I'm kinda getting used to it now. The safety aspect over the "C's" is a lot better in that kind of wind.

I need more time on it, and a little more wind!
